Why CCBA for this solution?
CCBA has been in the health insurance business for their members since 1937, and the insurance arena since 1914. By joining a large group, the administrative costs are lower, therefore the premium is lower. This solution is unique in the marketplace and is not available through brokers.
With more healthcare regulations phasing in over the next few years, the CCBA program solution will continue to be a stable offering with competitive rates. All plans are compliant with PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) and ERISA.

CCBA Leadership
Tom Haynes moved from his General Counsel position at Coca Cola corporate to join the Bottlers' Association in 2002 bringing with him a mandate to secure medical insurance for the Association's members.
During his first years at the Association, he was active in the Association Healthcare Coalition (AHP) lobbying effort in Washington DC, and was invited to testify before the House Committee on Small Business as an insurance industry expert when they were considering healthcare reform in 2009 (download a transcript of the testimony below).
When the AHP legislation did not pass Congress, Tom leveraged his experience and relationships in DC to develop a health insurance solution for his members. It was obvious from the beginning that the key to success would be based on the law of large numbers, and this realization led Tom to invite selective groups to join the program to enhance the savings for all.
Tom has an A.B. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
